The Doctor's Approach …
Dr. Jane Richards'
goal is to help her patients achieve balance in their physical
body, emotions and body chemistry. She accomplishes this goal by listening
to her patients, learning about them and helping to discover solutions to
their pain or problems using the following techniques:
All people are unique, each situation is
different, and a variety of techniques may be used on any one patient. Solving
a person’s complaint can be like peeling an onion and may reveal other
underlying issues. For example, a complaint of indigestion might indicate the
need for Contact Reflex Analysis (CRA) to diagnose body chemistry deficiencies,
which could lead to a recommendation for vitamin supplements. Additionally,
acupuncture might be used to strengthen the digestive tract, and/or chiropractic
used to normalize the functioning of the nervous system, which controls
digestion.
Testing is safe, painless and fast …
Dr. Richards has a number of methods for
testing her patient to determine their proper treatment. Her methods are safe,
painless and quick. To begin she will ask about your medical history and do a
physical exam. She may also use muscle testing, a proven way of discerning
information about a patient’s condition. This involves testing a strong muscle
while touching reflex points on the body. If a strong muscle goes weak during
testing, it is an indication of a malfunction. Muscle testing can be done on
infants, the elderly, the disabled and even animals. This is accomplished by
using a surrogate person’s arm while they are touching the patient.
Dr. Richards may also use
hair, saliva or blood samples to get more accurate information about a person’s
health status. Hair and saliva samples would be collected at home by the
patient and sent to a lab. Blood would be taken at a local medical lab.
Afraid of Acupuncture?
Dr. Jane has alternatives
for patients who have a fear of needles but may benefit from acupuncture. Her
policy is to always make her patients as comfortable as possible and keep them
informed during testing and treatments. This helps to instill the strong
patient-doctor rapport, which she and her patients enjoy.

Most treatments are covered by
your chiropractic insurance.
